How AstronovAI handles your data.

This policy explains what information AstronovAI may collect, how it is used, and the choices available when you use the AstronovAI website and mobile app, including our AI tools directory, account features, reviews, discussions, and submissions.

Information we may collect

When you use AstronovAI, we may collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the website or mobile app.

  • Account information: name, email address, password credentials handled by WordPress, profile photo, preferences, and consent timestamps.
  • Profile photos and media access: in the mobile app, photo-library access is requested when you choose to add or change a profile photo. The image you select is uploaded to AstronovAI and may appear in the app and beside your reviews and comments. You can remove the photo from your account.
  • Mobile session data: the mobile app stores authentication session information in protected on-device storage so you can stay signed in. Signing out clears the local account session on that device.
  • Connected sign-in accounts: when you choose Google, LinkedIn, or Microsoft sign-in, we may receive a provider account identifier, name, email address, email-verification status, and profile image. AstronovAI does not store provider access or refresh tokens after sign-in.
  • Workspace activity: favorites, saved comparisons, recently viewed tools, reviews, submitted tools, and account activity records.
  • Community content: comments, replies, review text, ratings, reports, and moderation-related metadata.
  • Technical information: browser or app/device information, IP address, timestamps, security logs, cookies or local storage where applicable, and similar diagnostic or performance data.
  • Messages and submissions: information included when you submit a tool, contact us, or send feedback.

How we use information

We use information to operate, secure, improve, and personalize the AstronovAI website and mobile app. This includes account access, saved workspace features, profile-photo management, community moderation, tool submissions, search and filter improvements, spam prevention, analytics, advertising where enabled, and support.

Connected sign-in providers

You may choose to sign in through Google, LinkedIn, or Microsoft when those options are enabled. The provider authenticates you and shares the limited profile information requested on its consent screen. We use the provider's stable account identifier to connect the sign-in method to your AstronovAI account. You can review and disconnect providers from the Connected Accounts section, subject to maintaining another way to access your account.

Cookies, local storage, and mobile secure storage

On the website, AstronovAI may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for login sessions, security, preferences such as theme mode, recently viewed tools, favorites, comparison workflows, analytics, advertising measurement, affiliate attribution, and performance improvements.

In the mobile app, authentication session information is stored using protected on-device storage. Advertising and consent technologies may also store or access device identifiers or local state as described by their providers and your consent choices.

If third-party advertising, analytics, or affiliate networks are enabled, those providers may use their own cookies, SDKs, identifiers, scripts, or similar technologies according to their policies.

Advertising, Google AdSense, Google AdMob, and ad personalization

AstronovAI may display advertisements or sponsored placements from approved advertising partners. The website may use Google AdSense or other web advertising services, and the mobile app may use Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK when advertising is enabled.

When Google Mobile Ads is active in the mobile app, Google may automatically collect and share data such as the device IP address, app interactions, diagnostic or performance information, and device or advertising identifiers, as applicable, for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. Google controls its own processing of this data under its policies.

In regions where consent is required, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the mobile app uses Google's consent tooling before requesting ads when required. Users may also use Google's advertising controls and their browser or device settings to manage advertising choices.

If an advertising network is active, additional ad network identifiers may be listed in the site's ads.txt file when required by the network. We do not publish placeholder ad network identifiers before they are provided by an approved advertising partner.

Reviews, comments, and public content

Content you post publicly, such as reviews, comments, replies, and discussion messages, may be visible to other users. We may moderate, remove, or restrict content that violates community standards, appears abusive, spammy, misleading, or unsafe.

How information may be shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the website and mobile app, such as hosting, security, analytics, email delivery, spam prevention, technical maintenance, and advertising providers when advertising is enabled. For example, Google may receive data through the Google Mobile Ads SDK as described above. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate abuse.

AstronovAI links to third-party AI tools, websites, affiliate programs, documentation, and external resources. Those third parties control their own services, data practices, prices, terms, and privacy policies. Review their policies before using them.

Data retention and account deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the website and mobile app, maintain appropriate records, secure the platform, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and improve the product. Some information may remain in backups, security logs, fraud-prevention records, or records required by law for a limited period or as otherwise legitimately required.

You can permanently delete your AstronovAI account from the mobile app or through our account deletion page. Account deletion removes the account and associated personal account data, including saved items, preferences, mobile sessions, connected-account records, reviews, discussion comments, unpublished tool submissions, and an uploaded profile photo. Public editorial tool records may remain without your account identity, and limited backup, security, or legal records may persist where legitimately required.

Your choices

  • You can update your profile and preferences from your account workspace.
  • You can manage favorites, saved comparisons, and other workspace activity where available.
  • You can permanently delete your account from the mobile app's Privacy & account screen or through the account deletion page.
  • You can remove an uploaded profile photo from your account and control photo-library permission through your device settings.
  • You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings, and use Google or device advertising controls for advertising choices, although some features may behave differently.
  • If you cannot access your account or need help with access, correction, or deletion, contact AstronovAI through the contact page.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the website, mobile app, and user information. The mobile app stores authentication session information using protected on-device storage and communicates with AstronovAI services over HTTPS. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please use a strong password and protect your account credentials.

Children

AstronovAI is not intended for children under the age required to use online services in their location. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review the issue.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as AstronovAI evolves. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
